The only retail training project in Barry, Nova is based at 79 High Street, a vibrant area of independent businesses.
Nova is managed by Su Taffinder, helped by a team of service users and volunteers.
Open from 9am until 4.30pm Monday - Friday and 10-2 on some Saturdays, we sell a range of gifts, cards, craft accessories and donated items.
Our retail trainees do all the jobs you would expect in a shop: serving customers, using the till, stock taking and clearing up. They also steam, sort and tag donated items ready for sale. We run the ASDAN accredited Workright and Employability qualifications with our trainees
